Paul Singer
Elliott Investment Management is a global investment firm founded by Paul Singer and co-led by Singer and Jonathan Pollock, who share the chief executive and chief investment officer roles. Elliott invests across stocks, corporate debt, distressed securities, private equity, private credit and other markets. Its approach often involves trying to influence an outcome through negotiations, shareholder campaigns or restructurings. That makes it both an investor and an active participant in corporate change. Public equity positions represent only part of a broader business that also pursues opportunities in debt and private companies.
Context Elliott's NML Capital was a leading holdout in Argentina's sovereign-debt dispute. It rejected earlier bond exchanges and sought payment through the courts, a strategy Argentina's government fiercely criticized. Argentina paid the settling holdout creditors in 2016 after raising money in the bond market. The episode became a prominent example of the tensions between creditor enforcement and sovereign debt restructuring.
On June 30, 2026, Elliott Investment Management held 17 positions in US-listed stocks worth $14.3 billion. The ten largest were 95.6% of it.
Options · 12 lines
Listed as filed, as the number of shares each option is on. A put can be a bet against a stock or insurance on shares the fund holds, and the filing does not say which, so options are never added into the total above.
Showing the 10 largest of 12 option lines, measured by the value of the shares they are on.
A 13F is a partial picture. Here is the part that is missing.
It lists long positions in US-listed stocks and options only. Not short positions, cash, ordinary bonds, anything listed only abroad, anything private, or anything bought and sold inside the quarter.
A quarterly SEC filing where large investment managers list the long positions in US-listed stocks and options they held at the end of the quarter. It is a snapshot, filed up to 45 days after that date.
Managers have 45 days after each quarter ends to file, and most of the funds we track file on the last permitted day. So the newest list still describes where the fund stood weeks ago, and the market has moved since.
How many equal-sized positions would be exactly this concentrated. Ten positions of the same size behave like 10. Ten positions where one holds most of the money behave like fewer than 2. It is 1 divided by the sum of each position’s squared share of the total.
Each line is one security as the manager filed it. Two share classes of one company, or a company’s stock and its convertible notes, are separate lines in the filing, and they stay separate here.
