George Soros (founder)
Soros Fund Management is a global asset manager and family office founded by George Soros. Dawn Fitzpatrick is its chief executive and chief investment officer, overseeing both investment and non-investment functions. The firm serves as the principal asset manager for the Open Society Foundations and invests through a permanent capital base. Its flexible mandate spans public and private equity, credit, fixed income, currencies and other assets, using internal teams and external investment partners. That structure allows long-term holdings and opportunistic investments during market dislocations.
Context George Soros was convicted in France of insider trading tied to French bank shares bought in 1988. In 2011, the European Court of Human Rights rejected his argument that French law had been insufficiently clear at the time of the trades. The case concerns Soros's historical conduct and is separate from the present investment team led by Dawn Fitzpatrick.
On June 30, 2026, Soros Fund Management held 254 positions in US-listed stocks worth $7.6 billion. The ten largest were 26.9% of it.
The other 204 positions, worth $2.5 billion (32.4% of the total), are in the filing.
28 of the 254 positions have no US ticker in our data, so they are listed under the company’s name.
Options · 12 lines
Listed as filed, as the number of shares each option is on. A put can be a bet against a stock or insurance on shares the fund holds, and the filing does not say which, so options are never added into the total above.
Showing the 10 largest of 12 option lines, measured by the value of the shares they are on.
A 13F is a partial picture. Here is the part that is missing.
It lists long positions in US-listed stocks and options only. Not short positions, cash, ordinary bonds, anything listed only abroad, anything private, or anything bought and sold inside the quarter.
A quarterly SEC filing where large investment managers list the long positions in US-listed stocks and options they held at the end of the quarter. It is a snapshot, filed up to 45 days after that date.
Managers have 45 days after each quarter ends to file, and most of the funds we track file on the last permitted day. So the newest list still describes where the fund stood weeks ago, and the market has moved since.
How many equal-sized positions would be exactly this concentrated. Ten positions of the same size behave like 10. Ten positions where one holds most of the money behave like fewer than 2. It is 1 divided by the sum of each position’s squared share of the total.
Each line is one security as the manager filed it. Two share classes of one company, or a company’s stock and its convertible notes, are separate lines in the filing, and they stay separate here.
